Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Neiman studied in St. Paul before moving to Chicago to study at the School of Art Institute of Chicago where he also taught for 10 years before moving to New York City in 1962. Recently, the World 2010 Games Foundation announced it has commissioned internationally renowned artist LeRoy Neiman as the Official Commemorative Artist of the 2010 Games.
