Ed Miracle was born on the Mexican border within walking distance of the Rio Grande, and spent his youth on the Pacific shores of California, open spaces of West Texas, and lakes and swamps of Florida. Actor George C. Scott was an avid collector of Miracles oil paintings, and in 1974 sent for him to work on the title paintings for one of his films. Miracle opened studios in Palm Springs and Laguna Beach and his work was carried in 55 galleries around the world. He was commissioned to create a series of southwestern drawings for President Ronald Reagan's inauguration. In 1984 Ed Miracle moved to Europe to live and work.
