    Story / Additional InfoThis original multiple is by Claes Oldenburg; first edition published by Gemini, CA in 1971; unsigned - as issued; originally issued as an unlimited edition & unnumbered (but approximately 3,000 copies were produced in 1971), but according to the publisher no more will be published because of today's cost.

    Geometric Mouse, Scale-D "Home Made", 1971; a moveable 3-dimensional object; die-cut/laminated photo offset on die-cut cardboard, stainless-steel wire, bead chains, nickel-plated fasteners; when opened: 17-1/2 x 14 ins & the height will vary (33x 40.6 x 30.5cm); fabricated by Anderson Litho. LA; the flat base it sits on is also made of die-cut cardboard measures: 16-1/2 x 19-1/2in;

    "The white paper Geometric Mouse is called 'home-made" because it is a reproduction (2/3 smaller) of the prototype made in preparation for the fabricated black metal.....imprinted with reproductions of the artist's notations and signature; in original clear plastic covering.
