    Story / Additional InfoA prime example of the painted collage process this artist continues to perfect, with a collage as the base and oil paints on top in the final stage. This work was inspired by the artist’s many trips to Morro Bay in the Central coast of California. Here she captures the bay where the boats moor with one sailboat. Morro rock sits to the side, with the inlet portrayed in greens, reds and yellows and many collaged textures. The artist was inspired by the Fauvist artist with her vibrant landscape colors. The atmosphere captures the crisp, sometimes somewhat overcast coastal scene with hints of sunlight emphasizing the reflections on the water. ‘The silhouette of a face can be seen In the right hand corner, but there is a strong semi-abstract presence in this work.
