Art Brokerage: James Charles Castle American Artist: B. 1900-1977. Born in Garden Valley, Idaho, James Charles Castle was a self-taught artist who created drawings, assemblage and books throughout his lifetime. James Castle was profoundly deaf and is believed to have never learned to read and write. Castle's artworks are generally small in scale considering he worked exclusively with found materials such as papers salvaged from common packaging and mail, in addition to food containers of all types. James Castle's work is now included in major museum collections throughout the U.S. including the American Folk Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the High Museum in Atlanta, Georgia and the Art Institute of Chicago. In March 2005 the Boise Art Museum will present an exhibition featuring their extensive collection of Castle's work. Listings wanted.
I'm specifically looking for "Chase in the Forest" for myself. I am interested in any Dr. Seuss art and would like to present each of 5 kids with a piece of art as they graduate college over the next 10 years. A piece of art I feel is specific to that kid, I've got a few ideas floating around, but am open to any deals. Thanks.
I lost my George Rodrigue print A Faster Breed to the recent Colorado Marshall Road fire and I am trying to replace it. I am a very motivated buyer. Limited Edition Print
