Prey has studios in Oyster Bay, New York, Massachusetts and Maine, which she claims as a second home and source of inspiration, having worked and exhibited there for several decades. The President appointed Prey to serve on the National Council on the Arts, the advisory body of the National Endowment for the Arts. Prey is featured in The National Endowment for the Arts NEA Arts Magazine video The Artist's Role in the Community: Six Perspectives. She has been recognized as one of the most significant artists of our time and her work has attracted the attention of major museums including the Brooklyn Museum and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Prey was recently honored when NASA commissioned her to paint four paintings for their collection.
