Returns, Claims, and Misrepresentation
Returns
Returns are extremely rare. We strive to limit the number we receive by verifying the accuracy of listing information and encouraging sellers to use professional packing services. We require collectors and buyers to open and inspect all purchased artwork immediately upon receipt. If we don't hear back from a buyer within 72 hours of them receiving their purchase, we will assume no issues were discovered and release payment to the seller. If a problem is discovered, we will work with you to quickly resolve it!
Right of return applies only to the original purchaser, and is non-transferable.
Returns will be accepted and a refund will be issued if the seller has misrepresented their artwork or it was damaged during shipping. Returns must be received within 30 days of receiving your artwork.
Claims
In the case of shipping damage, please report the issue to Art Brokerage immediately via email, so we can assist you with your claim. All packing materials must be saved and you must provide a photo of the artwork at the time of signature. Claims for items shipped with glass will be denied as glass is not covered by any bonded shipper. Art Brokerage will work with sellers who list artworks framed in glass to find a resolution prior to shipping.
Misrepresentation
Sellers who misrepresent any aspect of their artwork will pay for shipping and packing both to and from the buyer. Artwork will be returned via COD with a cashier's check accepted as payment. Frames are often included as a courtesy, are sold as is, and are not grounds upon which a buyer may reject a transaction.
Art Brokerage makes a guarantee to buyers regarding authenticity. The seller is paid upon receipt of art by the buyer and upon inspection of condition by buyer. If within 30 days of receipt of Art buyer is able to prove, in writing from an expert, that the art is indeed not authentic, then Art Brokerage will request, and Seller agrees to fully refund Art Brokerage within 10 days of request by Art Brokerage. The art will be returned to the seller at seller's cost.
Art Brokerages' privacy policy is and has always been to keep our sellers' information private. However, as a seller, you have the obligation to represent that the art is authentic and to represent the factual condition of your art. If a buyer returns your art due to finding the art is not authentic, or condition is not as represented, the seller is responsible to return all funds to Art Brokerage. Art Brokerage will refund the buyer and return said art to seller. If seller refuses to refund Art Brokerage, then our privacy policy shall be null and void and the seller's contact information will be provided to the buyer, so the buyer may take appropriate action against the seller as deemed necessary.
