Bogdan Aleksandrov

Art Brokerage: Bogdan Aleksandrov Bulgarian Artist: b. 1960. Bogdan Aleksandrov was born in 1960 in Vidin Bulgaria. He is a graduate of the Academy in Veliko Turnevo Bulgaria, from 1990 he has consistently produced original works which have pushed the boundaries of what is Bulgarian culture. Though he is Bulgarian in origin, his works have traveled across the borders of Bulgaria with ease almost from the start of his career. Alexandrov has exhibited in London, England, Germany, France, Romania, Serbia, Greece, Spain, and Austria. He is the 2007 winner of the M-Tel awards for contemporary painting in Bulgaria. His works are also found in many private and national collections across Europe. From the 24th of September till the 24th of November he will be in residency in Paris France creating a new government sponsored exhibition. Over the last years these two artists working in partnership have created a new school of painting in Bulgaria, this new school of painting has become the forefront of Bulgarian culture. However, the very quality of their work is the lack of Bulgarian regionalism, it is cosmopolitan. Listings wanted.
