Brooks earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California State University in Northridge, where he studied with such established artists of the Los Angeles art scene as Saul Bernstein, Watson Cross, Walter Gabrielson, Marvin Hardin, Joyce Treiman, Hans Burkhardt and Ernest Velardi. He also studied in Maine with William Holst, a student of Hans Hofmann. Brooks Anderson is a painter of large-scale landscapes, cloudscapes, seascapes and abstracts, and has painted in Los Angeles, Maine and the south of France. Listings wanted.
