Jimmy Dyer

Art Brokerage: Jimmy Dyer American Artist: b. 1956. He was born and raised in Irving, Texas. Working in oils, Dyer seeks to combine the light, color, and "painterliness" of plein-air painting with the solid drawing and tonal accuracy of more academic styles of painting. His work is greatly influenced by many well known New Mexican artists, particularly by Wayne Wolfe and Tom Lovell. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, cum laude from University of Dallas . His art has been exhibited in numerous shows including at the Gilcrease Museum , The National Museum of Wildlife Art, and The Albuquerque Museum. His work was featured in the May, 2006 issue of Soutwest Art Magazine and has also appeared in Western Art Digest and Southwestern Profile magazines. Listings wanted by Art Brokerage.
