Lucy Baker

Art Brokerage: Lucy Baker American Artist: Lucy grew up as the daughter of a high ranking foreign service officer and a German born mother. Lucy graduated from high school at sixteen and went to Abbott Art School in downtown Washington, D.C. We lived in Maryland. She majored in Costume Design and did for almost 2 years before she had to choose whether to go back to Europe on a State Department posting with my parents or find a way to stay in America. She ended up running away and got married. She went back to Abbott to study interiors at night. When she was 62 years old, she sold her Georgetown building and moved to St. Marteen. She lived there for 25 years. She bought the most beautiful beach house on Simpson Bayy Beach and began to paint large paintings for her 35 foot ceilings. She began a bit of a celebrity. Listings wanted.
