Marita Vaskova

Art Brokerage: Marita Vaskova Ukrainian Artist: b. 1948. Born in the Nikolaev Region of Ukraine in 1948, Marita Vaskova grew up with a passion for art. In 1965 she began attending the College of Applied Arts in Vijnitsa, Ukraine to continue refining her skills as a painter and in over all arts. After graduating five years later in 1970, she dedicated most of her time in Ukraine on a different kind of art: clothing design. From 1977 to 1997 she made and sold clothes in her own boutique, and spent much time working in her atelier. A couple of years later in 1999 she decided to switch her focus, and moved to Lisbon, Portugal. Her painting was now the center of her attention. Since then, her work has been shown all over Europe in about 30 different exhibitions including Belgium and Portugal. Presently, it is also shown in the United States. Marita became a member of the Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon in 2007, and currently her work continues to be noticed and appreciated by people all over the world.
