Mark DeMuro
Art Brokerage: Mark DeMuro American Artist: In addition to making art, he has over twenty-five years experience working as a private art dealer, curator, lecturer and consultant. He has advised collectors, curators, dealers, galleries, and corporations on building collections and making acquisitions of Modern and Contemporary art. He has worked with Impressionist, Modern, and Abstract Expressionist paintings, Minimalism, and especially POP art and art from the 1980s to the present. He has lectured for private banking groups at Art Basel Miami, and the Armory Show, NY. Mark DeMuro was a Founder and Director of the Beaux Arts Foundation and The Downtown Arts Club. He curated 11 shows in Lower Manhattan after Sept. 11, 2001 to help with the recovery of downtown and to emphasize the importance of the arts to the vitality of our city's life. Mark DeMuro has sold works by Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Alexander Calder, Matisse, Degas, Willem deKooning, Mark Rothko, Milton Avery, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Ed Ruscha, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Claes Oldenburg, Keith Haring, Sol Lewitt, Yayoi Kusama, Gilbert & George, Damien Hirst, Robert Mapplethorpe, Vik Muniz, Wayne Thiebaud, William Wegman, Christo, Louise Bourgeois, and many others. Mark DeMuro has exhibited paintings with Gracie Mansion Gallery, The New York Museum of Water, Leila Taghinia-Milani Heller (LTMH) Gallery, Chowaiki & Co., Germans Van Eck, P.B.
