Richard Danskin

Art Brokerage: Richard Danskin American Artist: 1936-2012. Richard was born in Berkeley, Calif. in 1936. He grew up in El Cerrito and Kensington, Calif. and attended El Cerrito High School. As a youth Richard spent most of his time drawing and designing cars, boats and houses. He is best known for his highly detailed realistic landscape paintings. He loved to travel the country searching for nostalgic scenes from rural America. He captured these scenes in a painting style that used highly realistic detail to evoke the beauty and sadness of a bygone time that could never be recaptured. Richard is also known for his 3-dimensional artworks depicting cities around the world. In later years he turned his focus more to developing and promoting other artists through his gallery.
