Art Brokerage: Rosemary Vasquez Tuthill American Artist: Born in Orange, California, Rosemary Vasquez Tuthill is the daughter of renowned painter Emigdio Vasquez. Rosemary grew up in the company of artists, art shows, exhibits, and events. She served as painter's model, assistant, and coordinator. Rosemary was drawing with pencil and pastels since she was in kindergarten; and she worked with a range of media from watercolors to clay sculpture to airbrush as well as oils. However, she left her art career aspirations for work in aerospace to become an R&D test engineer. In her professional career, she utilized her art skills to create drawings to communicate ideas to fabricate test equipment; and she produced various artworks for company events using acrylics. She painted a mural in her home in 1993 and then she took a 15-year hiatus from art. As an adult, Rosemary once again helped her father by taking a more active role coordinating his works for displays, venues, and sales. Her active involvement in creating art started up again when she produced four six-foot-by-ten-foot murals for her wedding reception as backdrops in 2008. Encouraged by her achievement in her murals, she decided to start painting again with oils. Emigdio agreed to provide artist's insights to assist Rosemary's re-emergence into oil painting which resulted in displaying her art alongside her father's in gallery shows. With a long-time interest in photography, she photo-captured landscapes and still life studies; and she made a few selections to re-ignite her oil painting endeavors. To date, Rosemary has painted a landscape from Capri, Italy, aquatic scenes, portraits, and many still life oils. Listings wanted.
