Story / Additional InfoOrlando Agudelo-Botero goes by Orlando A.B.in the art world. His original multiple Privilegio: Don Natural (or Benefiting Mr. Natural) is from a limited edition of only 75 pieces. The term "Original Multiple" was created by Orlando because they are just that. Multiples that have each been personally worked by the artist intimately with over painting, so that each work is Unique. The works are normally on hand-made paper and are very personal to the artist.
Privilegio: Don Natural- shows his very stylized figure with bold colors, which is also very cubist in presentation. The same effect Peter Max and Picasso use with their profiles...where the profile is also part of the full face. He also uses color in the same Fauvist way as Peter Max Is this figure also contemplating something or someone? The artist has juxtaposed the darker 'figure' or part of the face over the vibrant color of the full face, making it look very tribal or primitive in execution. Maybe representing the duality of an individual.

Art Brokerage: Agudelo-Botero (A.B.) Orlando Colombian Artist: b. 1946. Artist Agudelo-Botero (A.B.) Orlando has sustained his artistic and philosophical dialogue in powerful paintings that reflect the artists own personal development and natural curiosity for more than twenty five years. Articulating a vision of humanity with dignity Orlando's paintings give one an enlarged sense of life, both here and hereafter. Orlando was born in the Andes Mountains of Colombia, South America in 1946 into a family of twelve. My work is a vehicle for my own self-examination,says the painter. I struggle in each and every piece to discover something about humanity and to attempt to communicate it. Creating images drawn from Orlando's psyche his deftly drawn forms radiate an uncanny aura and sensual richness which appeal to our deepest level of consciousness. Orlando A. B's recurring themes of education, family, spirituality his love of music, as well as the exploration of his Latin heritage attest to his belief in the educational and healing powers of art. Orlando's work is held in many important collections both private and public and his art is exhibited worldwide. Listings wanted.
