Wyeth used the blank title page in a book of his published works to make the drawing on. He gave the book with the drawing to his caretaker of many years. The title page with the drawing has been removed from the book.

Andrew Wyeth held his first one-man show of watercolors painted around the family's summer home at Port Clyde, Maine in 1937. It was a great success that would lead to plenty more. Andrew Wyeth was the Poet Laureate of the United States, the highest honor a living artist can receive. Wyeth was also honored twice by American presidents. Andrew Wyeth passed away on January 15, 2009. Listings wanted.
