The poster features a vibrant image that reflects one of Warhol’s most famous projects: the Marilyn Monroe portfolio, which he created in 1967. Warhol’s images of Marilyn Monroe helped cement his legacy as the “Pioneer of Pop,” and stand today as some of the most significant works of modern art.

Died 1987.Obsessed with celebrity and consumer culture, Pop artist Andy Warhol created some of the most iconic images of the 20th century.
