Art Brokerage: Ann Stock American Artist: Ann Stock, has long been drawn to cultural representations of the feminine ideal and perceived notions about romance and fantasy. This interest has led the artist to explore the narrative and poetic potential of glossy fashion magazines images. These photo-based prints find the artist literally ripping pages from magazines, and combining them with her own poems that she handwrites in the negative spaces of the images. The poems explore, subvert and spin off from, the tales of love, desire and heartbreak that are the common themes in fashion storytelling.
