Art Brokerage: Audrey Menicucci American Artist: b. 1931-2001. Audrey Elaine Minney-Menicucci passed away at home in Santa Rosa on December 23, 2011. She was born in Santa Rosa on September 22, 1931. Audrey was a sixth-generation Santa Rosan and an artist whose career spanned 50 years. In Mill Valley in 1961, she began to paint a different kind of seascape in oils. Her unique palette knife style and sable brush technique caught the attention of many art patrons. Audrey's work received special recognition by the Sausalito Historical Society, permanently recorded as a prominent Marin County artist. In 1974, her seascape was selected for permanent collection in City Hall of Sausalito. Her signature seascapes were exhibited in galleries throughout the country. As a young woman, Audrey was head "copy boy" with the San Francisco Call Bulletin. Following that she was a scriptwriter at a Hollywood TV station and then returned to San Francisco as a copywriter for radio station KSFO during the Don Sherwood era. Later, to support her work, Audrey worked for the police as a dispatcher for Sausalito and Sebastopol, and at the San Rafael Civic Center for many years. For her work as an artist, Audrey was included in the 50th Anniversary Edition of Who's Who of American Women, and her paintings are still enjoyed by many collectors worldwide. Listings wanted.
