Ben Ray - United Kingdom

Art Brokerage: Ben Ray Scottish-American Artist: b. 1942. Ben Ray, was born in September 1942. This American born Scotsman is a direct descendant of "Robert the Bruce" King of Scotland. Having served in the Vietnam war as an illustrator for the army, afterwards, he was given special commissions now housed in museums and public buildings. A controversial abstract expressionist painter who's objective was to sensitize the public to the arts. So powerful are his works that they were banned from public exhibitions in the 70s' and 80s' . Each work makes a statement and suggests a mood or feeling of a time, a brief emotion captured on canvas to last into eternity. A major year long show was held in New York in the lobby of the Empire State Building in 1998 and he was the showcase artist exhibition at the lobby of Art in a new century at Las Vegas in 1999. The last 20 years of his life's works have been donated to benefit charity. Listings wanted.
