Art Brokerage: Charles Summey is recognized as a leading western and landscape artist and is well known for his paintings of trains, mountain scenes, wildlife and early American. His depictions of snow scenes express an excellence that is unique in landscape art. His success as an artist is due in large part to his dedication and motivation, as well as a deep personal satisfaction and love for the creative process. Raised in Rogers, Arkansas, Charles found inspiration and encouragement from those around him, most significantly, his art teacher. With this support, he was able to follow his passion toward a career in art. After moving to Springfield, Missouri, he worked producing commercial art at first, but moved on to creating his own personal artistic style, ever expanding on his talent. Charles is one of the longest running exhibitors at the Fort Worth Fat Stock Show and Rodeo, having displayed his paintings at the show since 1971.
