Art Brokerage: Chris Alonso American Artist: Chris Alonso is a social justice activist and artist. In his work, Chris incorporates both his passion for social justice and his spiritual practice, generally referred to as the Left Hand Path, which is a process for creating an individual, powerful essence that exists above and beyond animal life. Anticipating the need in the art world for the reevaluation of Western art and practices based in colonialism, Chris seeks to create art that can be appreciated by those that possess a revolutionary spirit and encourage cultural change. Chris has studied political science for two decades and holds certificates in Cultural Diversity, Criminal and Addictive Thinking, Socialization, Drug and Alcohol Education and speaks to groups of oppressed community members regarding the importance of positive change.
