Art Brokerage: Christopher Ramsey Jr. American Artist: b. 1985. Christopher Ramsey born 1985 in Chicago, Illinois. Ramsey's work is predominantly in the medium oil. He studied under Jose Garcia and Amir Nior from 2009 - 2011 at Truman College. Ramsey loved the great masters and often was assigned to repaint his favorite paintings in order to follow in their footsteps, while developing his own technique. With the retirement of his two mentors he finished schoolnand graduated with honors. The art he makes has recently emerged in Illinois' art scene. Ramsey initially created art with the intention of building a connection with his audience using beauty and emotion, but now sees his role and responsibility as an artist who tells history in his bodies of work.
