Art Brokerage: Cindy Coats American Artist: Cindy Coats American Artist: For as long as Cindy could remember, she has loved to draw. Growing up in New Mexico, she was surrounded by the rich landscape and unique culture of the Southwest. I believe the combination of the two helped to develop my deep appreciation of color. Growing up in the southwest, the most exotic thing she could imagine was living on an island in the middle of the Pacific. In 1996, they made that fantasy a reality and moved to Kona. The following year we adopted our first Poi Dog, "Cosmo" who became the inspiration of many of her paintings. Cindy work in many different mediums from pencil and ink on watercolor paper to oils to acrylic and gouache on Masonite. I believe different concepts lend themselves to different techniques. Her hand colored giclée prints are an example of this. These three dimensional creations use a variety of mediums and techniques to achieve their distinctive look. Listings wanted.
