Born in Altoon, Pennsylvania, master printmaker and artist, Frank Rowland, began his art education at age 12, when he attended W.P.A. art classes with his father. He further his studies at the School of Design Arts and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, as well as the American Academy of Fine Art and The Academic Art Foundation of Chicago. A recognized master serigraphy, Rowland has headed his own studio in Chicago for many years, attracting artists from around the world. In addition to printing his own work, artists with such diverse styles as Erte, Agam, Peter Max, Henrietta Wyeth, Frank Gallo and Leroy Neiman have entrusted Frank with the translation of their images into fine serigraphs. In addition to numerous one-man exhibitions, Rowland has created over two hundred murals throughout the United States, and his work is featured in the corporate collections of Price Waterhouse, Arthur Anderson, I.B.M., Playboy, and AT&T, to name a few. Not content to limit his creativity to fine art alone, Frank Rowland has been actively involved in architecture, industrial design, animation, and set design for film and stage.
