Art Brokerage: Hiroshi Sugimoto Japanese Artist: B. 1948. To put it simply, Hiroshi Sugimoto's images make us blink. We blink because his photographs freeze more time, and sometimes space, than we can take in with one look, and blinking is a way of wiping the mental imprint so we can start over, look again. In that moment of adjustment, we catch a glimpse of the workings of our own vision. For Sugimoto, the challenge is to slow down the act of perception to the point where it becomes itself a palpable aspect of the work. Art Brokerage wishes to purchase architectural works.
