Karol Honeycutt

Art Brokerage: Karol Honeycutt American Artist: Born in West Virginia, Karol completed studies of Applied Arts at Fairmont State University. She majored in art at University of South Carolina and became the Manager of Interior Concepts and Augusta Design Center, in Augusta, GA. She then owned and managed Designs By Karol and later co-owned and exhibited at Studio de Phantasm on Artist Row in Augusta, GA. She has participated in numerous art shows and was invited to hold a one-woman art show in 2005. Karol is strongly attracted to subjects that explore a female perspective. Simplicity is her primary goal. She often begins her more realistic works with a conceptual idea from a photograph and looks for ways to express human emotions through color and symbolism. "Color is the main ingredient and inspiration for my work," Karol explains. "My paintings generally consist of many layers of paint and spontaneous marks that transform into faces, figures, landscapes and animals."
