Ken Wesman - Canada
Art Brokerage: Ken Wesman Canadian Artist: b. 1936. Ken Wesman is an artist commissioned for seven official images for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Later that same year, with an invitation from the Korean Olympic President , he painted and exhibited at the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul, South Korea. Each resulted in exhibit sell-outs, and four of these images are now in both Olympic Halls of Fame. Ken Wesman was born in Alberta, Canada in 1936 and moved to B.C., Canada six years later. The Pacific coast then became his home. He painted his first oils at age twelve. After leaving high school, he self-taught his skills in colour and technique as a commercial artist. In 1975 he ventured the world, broadening his knowledge of the arts. Four years later, he returned from Europe to further pursue his desire and passion to paint.
