Art Brokerage: Lydia Miller Australian Artist: I no longer find it hard letting go of rules and pre-conceived ideas I once held; but I can't paint without music and find it creates moods and feelings that lead me to try things I wouldn't have (without music) I'm currently exploring the drama of outback and coastal shapes, forms and colours. I usually start with recent finished or semi-finished works and the idea of pushing them further than I previously thought possible. Once I've made a few exploratory marks or tried a few different colours or textural materials, the painting seems to takes over and leads me to do things I could never have planned. Having said that, I often find myself trying to work Chinese calligraphic line into my works. Listings wanted.
