Art Brokerage: Michael Jackson British Artist: b. 1961. Michael Jackson, was born 1961 in the North West of England. A keen Ornithologist since his early childhood, Jackson had his own bird sanctuary taking in waifs and strays and nurturing them back to health, later to be released to the wild. This early devotion to wildlife has led him to be both, environmentally aware and a keen conservationist. He went on to study natural history illustration at Blackpool College. After leaving college he took up painting as a full time career and continues to pursue the reference for his subjects, travelling the world . Gifted with a photographic memory, he is inspired not only by the animals he paints but the natural environment in which they live. His works are exhibited and collected internationally.
