Art Brokerage: Nomi Faran Israeli Sculptor: She studied drawing and sculpture at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv and continued working in marble in Pietra Santa Italy. Working in bronze, marble and Israeli stone, her smooth abstracted forms evoke tenderness, love and harmony. Nomi's torsos are beautifully proportioned and are testaments to her technical prowess. Alluring to the touch, these works are the embodiment of positive emotion in forms that continue to evolve in a natural process. With a sure and competent hand, she creates new forms, sacrificing detail in favor of the overall artistic concept. In 1983 Nomi became a member of the Israel Painters and Sculptors Association. Many of Nomi's sculptures are included in collections throughout Europe, North America, Australia and Israel, including the New Orleans Museum of Art.
