Pedro Cuni

Art Brokerage: Pedro Cuni Spanish Artist: Pedro Cuni is an artist, painter, muralist, printmaker and portraitist, including portraits for the prince of Spain. Pedro exhibits his work both nationally and internationally and has taught art and painting in particular for over 15 years in different schools including Parsons School of Design, Cooper Union and The Graduate Center and internationally in Italy and Spain. Pedro is an expert in ancient painting materials and has co-discovered with his father Jose Cuni and his brother Jorge Cuni the original encaustic lost formula of the painting materials used by the ancient Greek and Roman artists that has evaded the artists and scientist for over 5 centuries. Last summer, the discovery was showcased at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. and published by the Royal Academy of Chemistry. Pedro is the co-founder of the Encaustic Cuni Corporation that produces encaustic paint for artists who want to use the original formulation of the encaustic paint. This is the first time that a new painting material has been introduced to the art world in the last 100 years and third time in the last 500 years.
