Art Brokerage: Pierre van Soest Dutch Artist: b. 1930-2001. Pierre van Soest was born October 14, 1930 in Venlo and then settled in Amsterdam in 1947.He attended the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam and received the royal grant to the arts of painting in 1953 and 1954. He taught at the Atelier 63 in Haarlem from 1965 to 1966 and from 1969 to 1971 and later at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch from 1972 to 1987. He has done extensive work in the field of monumental arts, wall painting and design of concrete reliefs for public and private buildings in the Netherlands.Pierre van Soest died in January 2001.
