Art Brokerage: Reuben Colley British Artist: b. 1976. Reuben Colley is an artist who paints in oils. He is known for his "gritty" cityscapes depicting his home town of Birmingham, England. His work is in a number of public collections, including that of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. Colley's childhood home was on the Bromford Estate in the Hodge Hill district of Birmingham. He studied fine art, specializing in painting, at the University of Wolverhampton. He formerly had a gallery in the city's Moseley district, which opened in February 2010. Colley has said:nPainting, to me, should be a very natural process, without the restraints of gimmick and style, it is an infinite language of expression, only I find it much more comforting than using words.
