Art Brokerage: Rick Scalf American Artist: Rick, a native of Lexington, Kentucky, began his love of photography at a young age with his father as his first mentor. Month-long summer vacations out West provided some of his earliest subjects. He has developed his skills over the years through self-study, trial and error and, through instruction from other professional photographers. His areas of forte include: landscape photography and abstract still life photographs. He enjoys a broad spectrum of photography including doing personal photo shoots for clients, shooting stock images for companies such as Big Stock photo, and shooting landscapes and still-lifes for his own gallery. Rick considers learning a lifelong process. He recently journeyed to Yosemite under the instruction of Gary Hart, renowned landscape photographer. Rick states, "Gary was great to learn from. He has an amazing eye for composition." Rick's work can be found on display, not only in his gallery, but in office buildings and private residences in Kentucky and across the country. Art Brokerage makes it easier to keep track of new listings from your favorite artists. Any time a new item is listed for artists you're following, it will appear in the "Follow Artist" section of your dashboard and you can optionally decide to receive email alerts (configurable by medium for each artist).
