Robert Graham - Mexico
Art Brokerage: Robert Graham Mexican Artist: b. 1938-2008. Born in Mexico City in 1938, Robert Graham earned his BA from San Jose State College and his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Graham''s work has been the subject of over eighty solo exhibitions in the United States, Europe, Japan, and Mexico. Robert's Graham work can be found in many national and international museum collections. Some of Graham's most recognized civic monuments include the Los Angeles Olympic Gateway (1984), the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Washington D.C. (1997), and the Great Bronze Doors for the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Los Angeles (2002). In 1993, Robert Graham received the ACLU Freedom of Speech Award and the California Governors Award for his outstanding contribution to the Arts. In 2005, Graham was the recipient of the Hope of Los Angeles Award, Latino Heritage Month, City of Los Angeles. Robert Graham passed away Dec. 27, 2008 in Venice, California. Listings wanted.
