Some of his most striking pieces are the vivid cut Uranium vessels. Uranium is a very special pigment which has a flourescence under UV light. It is so intense a pigment that the glass melting pot has to be destroyed after its use. It would stain all subsequent glass melted afterwards. As a result of this Plesl can only produce a limited amount every year. In his own words; 'I don't like it when things are dry. I like a clean shape, but it must be marked by something unexpected, pleasant, and juicy. But I think the greatest art is when you are able to do something very clever that everyone can like.'
