Terry Richardson is an iconic American fashion photographer. Known for his sexually explicit, snapshot-style portraiture, Richardson has become a celebrity in his own right. A fixture of both the New York and Los Angeles fashion and art scene, his signature look of aviator sunglasses and a handlebar mustache is as recognizable as his photographs. "Going into a shoot not fully knowing what I want to do—that excitement, that thing that happens, is just so powerful and makes such great pictures," the artist's said. The artist shot his first advertising campaign for British fashion designer Katharine Hamnett in 1995. He has since worked on advertising campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Yves Saint Laurent, Tom Ford, and many other high-end design firms. In early 2012, "Terrywood", Richardson's first solo show in Los Angeles, was held at OHWOW gallery. This exhibition included over 20 works exploring the culture of Hollywood.
