Story / Additional InfoPainting conveys loneliness to us. The girl who passes between the orange trees with her branches and leaves in contrast surrounds her menacingly in the foreground. With a clear sky she shows us the outline of the rows of fruit trees that are lost in the horizon, projecting their long shadows on the green and yellow of the pastures.
