Art Brokerage: Aldro T. Hibbard American Artist: b. 1886-1972. Aldro T. Hibbard was born in Falmouth, Massachusetts. He was an Impressionist landscape painter. He was one of the founders of the Rockport Art Colony, Rockport Art Association. He grew up in Dorchester & Boston and spent summers in Boston & Cape Cod. He studied at Boston Museum School with Edmund Tarbell, Joseph decamp, and Frank Benson. He occupied Fenway Studios 1927-1929 and won the Paige Traveling Scholarship to study abroad, but it was cut short by World War I, he returned to America in 1914. He became a summer resident of Cape Ann in the 1920's, and wintered in Jamaica,Vermont in West River Valley where he painted many rural snow-scapes. He was also an instructor of art at Boston University. Art Brokerage is interested in listing any Aldro Hibbard artworks for sale. We have buyers today.
