Archimede Seguso
ItalyArt Brokerage: Archimede Seguso Italian Glass Artist: b. 1909-1999. Archimede Seguso was one of the best-known Venetian glassworkers, distinguishing himself in the glass processing. He immediately began to work as teacher in 17 years in the furnace where his father was a member who turned in 1933 by Barovier Seguso Blowing & Ferro in Seguso Vetri d'Arte, a company that marks the development of glass in the following decades. He collaborated with important as artistic director artist Flavio Poli. These collaborations ended in 1946 when Archimede Seguso founded the glassworks Vetreria Artistica Archimede Seguso. Here he succeeded in space by reusing old blowing techniques such as the famous "Watermarks" calls to "Feather" and "Lace" in addition to experience and develop in the second half of the 20th century character glasses by overlapping colors and strong colour contrasts in the technique of "Flooded".
