Guido Odierna - Italy
Art Brokerage: Guido Odierna Italian Artist: b. 1913-1991. Guido Odierna was an Italian painter best known for his dramatic landscape and seascape paintings of Capri, Rome, and Venice. Odierna's work sought to capture the specific atmosphere and color of each location, from the foggy white skies of Venice to the deep transparent blues of the Mediterranean water. Often featuring crashing waves and theatrical lighting, his paintings are characterized by their turbulent dynamism and sense of awe for the ocean. Born on November 13, 1913 in Capri, Italy, he went on to study under two renowned seascape painters: Michele Federico and Konstantin Ivanovich Gorabtov. Odierna had over 35 solo exhibitions during his career, including in Rome, Milan, Turin, Genoa, Biella, Vercelli, Catania, and Trieste. He died in 1991 in Capri, Italy. Listings wanted.
