Jean-Pierre Lafrance

Art Brokerage: Jean-Pirerre Lafrance Canadian Artist: b. 1943. He was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1943. Jean-Pierre Lafrance studied drawing and painting at the ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montreal from the age of sixteen. He continued his studies at Studio Salette in Montreal, directed by acclaimed Canadian sculptor and muralist Jordi Bonet. LaFrance also studied lithographic and serigraphic techniques at Atelier de le in Val-David, Quebec. As a multidisciplinary artist, Lafrance creates a visual language of incommensurable structures, subject to the outburst of both the real and the unreal. The unlimited order of this dreamlike universe remains the material impulsion of a purely metaphysical language. Lafrance has participated in many group and solo exhibitions in Canada as well as abroad, notably in the United States, France and Mexico. Listings wanted.
