John Kiraly - United States
Art Brokerage: John Kiraly American Artist: b. 1943. John Kiraly was born and raised outside of New York City, where he lived until he moved with his family to Florida in 1953. He attended the University of Miami on a full art scholarship, but eventually left the classroom to travel the world and develop his unique painting style. He explored Europe, Central and South America, and settled in the Bahamas for seven years, where he opened his own gallery. To develop his eye for painting neutral materials, Kiraly returned to the United States and spent one year on a farm in Ohio, experimenting with abstract collage images made of leaves, seeds, and plants. Moving then to the island city of Key West, Florida in 1973, Kiraly began to paint studies of the buildings and tropical plants that would lead him eventually to paint edenic landscapes. He has been honored with numerous solo and group exhibitions, juried shows, and television specials and feature articles. His works are in distinctive private and corporate collections, in particular the collections of many well-known actors and actresses. Listings wanted by Art Brokerage.
