Art Brokerage Paul Manship American Artist: b. 1885-1966. Artist and Sculptor Paul Manship, born in St Paul, Minnesota, USA. Manship studied in New York City and Philadelphia, and attended the American Academy in Rome (1908-12), where he was greatly influenced by antique sculpture. He then returned to the USA, and became renowned for his bronze figurative sculptures, which drew heavily on Roman and Greek sources. Manship's many important commissions include the gilded Prometheus Fountain (1934) for the Rockefeller Center, New York City. Listings wanted by Art Brokerage.
