"Piccola Contadinella 1991" by Pietro Signorelli - Framed Giclee On Canvas $2,500
Art Brokerage: Pietro Signorelli Italian Artist: Pietro Signorelli, was born in Treviglio, Italy and at the age of 13 moved with his family to Melzo. Between 1967 and 1972, he was a pupil of the artist Mario Donizetti from Bergamo, who generously taught him the secrets of a cultured and refined technique of painting. In 1977 he met the Swiss publisher René Kramer, a cosmopolitan of culture and remarkable artistic awareness. This well-known philanthropist and patron saw Signorelli as a promising artist and a close collaboration between the two began. Kramer organised many exhibitions in the years to follow. Signorelli has skillfully reworked an old Renaissance painting technique: the artist paints on paper-covered wooden boards, first creates a pencil drawing perfectly finished in every detail, later lacquered and veiled with a mixture of alkyd resins and natural pigments. A refined technique learned - and then personally developed with spectacular plays of lights and colour - from his mentor, the world renowned maestro Mario Donizetti. Original paintings wanted.
Looking for a nude, a early picture according to his wife Lynn. It is of a young woman with golden blond hair, sitting on a blue valor quilt holding a black cat with white paws up against her chest. The cats right leg is hanging over her breast exposing a small portion of only one of her breast. There is a pure white cat on the valor quilt looking up at her.
