Art Brokerage: Steffen Dam European Glass Artist: He have been working with glass for 25 years. Initially he was blowing glass, but over the years casting, grinding and techniques from other crafts emerged. He was originally trained as a toolmaker – an education that provided a thorough under-standing of mechanical construction and the qualities of different metals. He has brought these skills to his work with glass and it is reflected in his method and in the results he achieves. His aim is to describe the world as he sees it. One could also say to describe what's not tangible and understandable with our everyday senses. His cylinders contain nothing that exists in the ocean, his specimens are plausible but not from this world, his plants are only to be found in his compost heap, and his flowers are still unnamed.
