Provenance / History“Eda†(Eda Varricchio) is a "Postwar and Contemporary Artist" who was born in 1923. Overtime she grew from a working painter, to a gallery owner, and eventually to one of Japan's finest garden painters; whom sold out annual shows across a 10 year span.Eventually, Eda was requested to paint the creative decor within Tokyo's biggest and most prominent department stores, the Isetan Shinjuku.
Story / Additional InfoEventually Eda was requested to paint the creative decor within Tokyo's biggest and most prominent department stores, the Isetan Shinjuku. The Kanda Myojin Shrine in the heart of Tokyo, Japan (which is one of the oldest, and most traditional monuments, (where Shrines are concerned), is now celebrating (1300) years of historical-cultural evolution. While this Shrine is not technically a Museum, it’s the most popular Shrine in Tokyo, for which has a Culture Center and Public Art Gallery that everybody knows of, and loves to attend. 

As of this week, The Kanda Myojin Shrine will has become a new home for Eda Varricchio Art, in Tokyo, Japan, that will permanently display and honor my Grandmother’s Artwork, and her role as an Artist. To show support, (100) Pieces of my Grandmother’s (Eda Varricchio) Original Artworks were donated to the Kanda Myojin Shrine, in a sincere in effort to praise and pay tribute to: 

1. The (100) years that my Grandmother’s birthday and life will represent.
