The painting was created on canvas using mixed media, acrylic colors, gold leaf, and is ready to be hung without any frame. It all began one summer evening, as I sat beneath the starry sky of my Sicily in a warm August. I meditated and traveled with my imagination on the vastness of the universe. I found myself captivated by the idea of a world balanced on the edge of existence, held aloft by the thinnest of threads. "A World Suspended by a Thread" became more than just a simple painting; it transformed into a beacon of inspiration, a testament to the power of imagination, where the most extraordinary worlds can be found in the simplest of places.

She uses a mixed technique of acrylic on canvas with relief decorations, resins, watercolors, canvas gauzes, handmade papers, gold leaf, metallic paste, photographic or cardboard cutouts, lava dust, silver leaf. In particular, she has created several works using the round shape, which represents for her the symbol of the universe and perfection. In these works, Ivana Urso once again uses mixed techniques with acrylic on canvas and relief decorations, but she has added the use of new materials such as marble powders and colored sands, which allow her to create three-dimensional effects and to simulate the surface of a planet or the moon.
